Our 15 day Southern Africa Safari Tour is a packaged African getaway to some of South Africa’s most beautiful destinations. The itinerary includes Victoria Falls, Kruger National Park, Swaziland, Mozambique, Durban and Cape Town This safari tour of Southern Africa strives to bring the most sought after destinations within the region into one cost-effective and amazing package.
Start your journey at Victoria Falls for two nights at the Ilala lodge where you can marvel at one of the Seven Wonders of this world and take in the local cultures and scenery next to the majestic Zambezi. Then fly over to the Kruger National park for a three-day African safari in the bush with the Big Five where you will stay at the Greenfire Game Lodge.
Once finished with your bush safari, we will take you for a beach safari in Mozambique. You will travel through Swaziland, experience some culture and land at white sand beaches of Ponto Dora in Mozambique. Here you will stay at the beach chalets overlooking the beach for two nights and relax on the beach or learn how to surf or go scuba diving. From Mozambique, you will then head back into South Africa. For some relaxation, you will be driven to Durban where you will stay at the Oysterbox Hotel and experience the eateries and crafts of the Natal Midlands and the beach and lights of Umhlanga.
The next day you will board a flight from Durban International Airport to Cape Town where you relax at the Bay Hotel for the next four days while you explore the world’s second most loved destination in the world. Here you will be treated to a drive around the Cape Peninsula, Table Mountain, the beaches of Clifton, Camps Bay and Lundalo, the shopping and restaurant districts and the Cape Winelands. Allow yourself to be captured and mesmerized by the beauty and magic of the city.
Day 1: Welcome to Victoria Falls
Arrive at Livingstone Airport and transfer to A’Zambezi River Lodge. Spend two nights there on a bed and breakfast basis. For the rest of the day, relax on the banks of Zambezi River and take a river cruise to watch the sunset while enjoying South African food and wine delights. Dinner and overnight will be arranged at Ilala Lodge.
Day 2: Victoria Falls
After breakfast, head straight for a guided tour along the Victoria Falls followed by a visit to the Working African Village – Monde Village. Taking a helicopter flight or a micro light flight over the falls offers a bird’s eye view. Though it’s a 13 minutes journey, it is well worth for photographic experiences. Your dinner and overnight will be at Ilala Lodge.
Day 3: South African Game Lodge
You will be transferred to the Livingstone Airport in the morning to board a plane to South Africa. Arrive at the Nelspruit/Kruger International Airport. We’ll pick you up and transfer to the game lodge on the outskirts of the Kruger National Park.
Enjoy all the comfort and convenience of Green Fire Game Lodge – where you can get to relax while looking over the Sabie River. Take a game drive for game viewing and sundowners before the sunset. End the night at the lodge where you will be provided with African cuisines of great tastes.
Day 4: Game Walk at Kruger National Park
Take a hike with a professional tour guide early in the morning to see African wildlife up close and personal. After enjoying three hours hike, get back to the lodge for a brunch before leaving the lodge and adventuring into the Kruger National Park.
Drive through the park in a safari 4X4 vehicle and see the Big Five. Then stop over at Olifants Camp Site in the Kruger National Park. You will be exposed to a memorable window of Africa at this camp, located on the top of a hill towering several hundred feet over the river.
The sightseeing views from the lookout platforms offer you a chance to see the river below where wildlife species come to drink. You will spend your night at a campfire next to the chalet – you will cook a traditional South African meal. You will have an opportunity to go for a night drive afterward.
Day 5: Mozambique
Set off for the Mozambique border post early in the morning. Upon reaching there, you will get your visas. Once it’s done head over to Mozambique where you will visit the Limpopo National Park. While driving through the park, spot wildlife species on the go and have your lunch at one of the camps located near the exit of the park.
Once you’ll be out of the park, travel to the beach resort town of Xai Xai to spend the night at Xai Xai Beach Camp and experience some of the African or Portuguese cultures.
Day 6-8: Tofo
In the morning, go for snorkeling on the coral reef running parallel to the beach and relax before lunch. Enjoy some of the Mozambique seafood dishes before heading to Tofo beach. After lunch, drive to Tofo Beach to stay for two relaxing and luxury nights at a beach resort.
During your three days vacation, you will enjoy scuba diving, relax on the beach and take on tours around the peninsula while soaking up the exotic beach experiences. You will enjoy overnight and dinner at Hotel Tofo Mar or similar.
Day 9: Durban
Transfer to the Tofu International Airport after lunch and fly back to Durban, South Africa. We will pick you up at Durban International Airport and drive to the Oysterbox Hotel for overnight accommodation.
Day 10: Midlands and Cape Town
Drive to the Natal Midlands in the morning and cycle around the famous route. Stop over at eateries, wine estates, and galleries. Start driving to Howick and cycle to the Nelson Mandel Capture Site where you will take a tour through the museum.
Enjoy cycling to Cavendish Mill for some tea, Ardmore Ceramics to look at some art pieces and the Arlington wine estate for some wine tasting and lunch. After lunch, you will head through some great single track towards Rawdons Hotel. After arriving at the hotel, take a shower and feast out at dinner while having a craft beer tasting.
Day 11: Midlands and Cape Town
In the early morning, drive out to the Kamberg Bushman painting site that is a UNESCO Heritage Site. See some of the art galleries and restaurants of your choice there. Return to Durban to catch your flight to Cape Town.
Arrive at the Cape Town International Airport around 6:30 pm where you’ll be picked up and transferred to the Bay Hotel located in Camps Bay. You will reach there in time for a sundowner to watch the sun disappearing below the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy your dinner and overnight at the Bay Hotel or similar.
Day 12: Cape Peninsula and the City
Start climbing up Lion’s Head or cable car to the top of the Table Mountain early in the morning to see the majestic sight of Cape Town. Afterward, go on a tour to the Castle of Good Hope, the Company Gardens, Greenmarket Square and the V & H Waterfront.
After having lunch, go for a drive around the Cape Peninsula and start from Camps Bay while winding your way down to Hout Bay. There, you can enjoy an additional 30-minute boat cruise to see the Cape Fur Seal colony on the Duiker Island.
From Hout Bay, go along the scenic Chapmans Peak as it embraces the cliff face looking over the Atlantic Ocean on one of the most spectacular mountain passes. Continue driving along south to the Cape of Good Hope National Park to Boulders Beach and explore the old naval base town of Simon’s.
On the late afternoon, go to Cape Town to stopover at Constantia Valley for wine and cheese tasting at one of the wine estates. When the sun starts setting, return to the Bay Hotel for sundowners and dinner.
Day 13: Cape Wineland
Start your tour in the morning and drive to the Cape Winelands – where you will know about the rich historical and architectural wonders of the region. Visit Stellenbosch for the first wine tasting and go to Franschhoek for more tastings and lunch.
Have your lunch at one of the splendid award-winning restaurants in the town. After lunch, go to Paarl and Wellington for more wine tasting to end the day. Return to Cape Town in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight will be at the Bay Hotel or similar.
Day 14: Exploration
It’s a spare day in case you need to fit in weather-dependent activities. If not, it’s a perfect time to relax or discover Cape Town more in terms of your own personal interests.
Take a Red Bus tour as long as you want, paraglide off Signal Hill, abseil down Table Mountain, go for shopping until you drop. Your overnight and dinner will be at the Bay Hotel or similar.
Day 15: End of Southern Africa Safari
You will say goodbye to us. We will transfer to Cape Town International Airport to board a flight back home.
