Our 15 day Southern Africa Safari Tour is a packaged African getaway to some of South Africa’s most beautiful destinations from Victoria Falls to Cape Town. A Brief Overview of Your Trip

 

 

Start your journey at Victoria Falls for two nights at the A’Zambezi River lodge where you can marvel at one of the Seven Wonders of this world and take in the local cultures and scenery next to the majestic Zambezi. Then fly over to the Kruger National park for a three day African safari in the bush with the Big Five where you will stay at the Greenfire Game Lodge.

 

Once finished with your bush safari, we will take you for a beach safari in Mozambique. You will travel through Swaziland, experience some culture and land at white sand beaches of Ponto Dora in Mozambique. Here you will stay in beach chalets overlooking the beach for two nights and relax on the beach or learn how to surf or go scuba diving. From Mozambique, you will then head back into South Africa. For some relaxation, you will be driven to Durban where you will stay at the Oysterbox Hotel and experience the eateries and crafts of the Natal Midlands and the beach and lights of Umhlanga. The next day you will board a flight from Durban International Airport to Cape Town where you relax at the Bay Hotel for the next four days while you explore the world’s second most loved destination in the world. Here you will be treated to a drive around the Cape Peninsula, Table Mountain, the beaches of Clifton, Camps Bay and Lundalo, the shopping and restaurant districts and the Cape Winelands. Allow yourself to be captured and mesmerized by the beauty and magic of the city.

Day 1: An African Welcome at Vic Falls

Siabona!

Welcome to Southern Africa. You will arrive at Livingstone Airport and be transferred to the A’Zambezi River Lodge where you check in for (2) nights on a bed and breakfast basis. For the rest of the day you will relax on the banks of the mighty Zambezi and then in afternoon take a river cruise to watch the sunset while getting a taste of Southern Africa food and wine.

Day 2: Victoria Falls

In the morning you will be collected at your hotel and taken on a guided tour of the Victoria Falls, followed by a visit to a working African Village known as Monde Village. Apart from the Falls, there are also many activities to enjoy in this area, for those with a sense of adventure, or for those who want to enjoy the local culture! A helicopter flight or micro light flight over the falls provides a birds eye view – and although only 13-minutes long – it is well worth the photographic opportunity.

Day 3: South African Game Lodge

In the morning you will be transferred to the Livingstone Airport where you board a plane to South Africa. You will arrive at the Kruger/Nelspruit airport where you will be picked and transferred to your game lodge on the outskirts of the Kruger National Park. Here you will enjoy the comforts of Green Fire Game lodge where you can relax while looking over the Sabie river where the Big Five come to drink. Just before sunset you will take a game drive for some sundowners and game spotting. You will end the night with back at lodge where you will be dished up African cuisines with great tastes.

Day 4: Game walk and Kruger National Park

Early in the morning you be taken on a hike with professional guides where you will see African wildlife up close and personal. After the 3 hour hike you get back to the lodge for a brunch before leaving the lodge and adventuring into the Kruger national Park. You will be driven through the Kruger Park in a safari 4 x 4, viewing the Big Five as you go along to your next destination, Olifants Camp Site in the Kruger National Park. You will be exposed to an unforgettable window of Africa at this camp which is situated on top of a hill towering several hundred feet over the river of the same name. Sightseeing views from the lookout platforms allow a person to observe the river below where arrange of wildlife come to drink.Your night will be spent at a camp fire next to your chalet were you will be cooked a traditional South African meal. There is also an opportunity to go for a night drive afterwards.

Day 5: Mozambique

Early in morning you will set off for the Mozambique border post. At the border post you will get your visas and once done head over into Mozambique where you will enter the Parque Nacional do Limpopo (Limpopo National Park). While driving through the park you will be able to spot wildlife on the go as well as have lunch at one of the rest camps near the exit to the park. Once out of the park we will travel to the beach resort town of Xai Xai where you will spend a night atm Xai Xai beach camp and experience some African/Portuguese beach culture

Day 6 -7- 8: Tofo

In the morning you can go for a snorkel on the reef running parallel to the beach and just relax before lunch. At lunch you will be treated to some Mozambique sea food dishes before setting off to Tofo beach. After lunch you will be driven to Tofo Beach where you will stay for two relaxing and luxury nights at a beach resort. During your three day stay, you will scuba diver, relax on the beach, be taken on tours around the peninsula and just soak up the exotic beach experience.

Day 9: Durban

After lunch you will be transferred to the Tofu airport and you will fly back into South Africa, Durban. You will be pickup at Durban International Airport and transferred to the Oysterbox Hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 10: Midlands and Cape Town

Early in the morning you will be driven to the Natal Midlands where you will cycle around the famous route stopping at eateries, wine estates and galleries. We will start in Howick and cycle to the Nelson Mandel Capture Site where you will get a tour through the museum. After that we will cycle to Cavendis Mill for some tea, Ardmore Ceramics to look at some art and then Ardington wine estate for some wine tatsing and lunch. After lunch we will head through some great single track toward Rawdons Hotel. After arriving at Rawdons Hotel and a shower, you will be able to feast out at dinner and have a craft beer tasting.

Day 11: Midlands and Cape Town

In the early morning you will be driven out to the Kamberg Bushman painting site which is a UNESCO heritage site. You will then be driven back where you will be able to see some art galleries and restaurants of your choice. By 2 pm you will be driven back to Durban where you will catch your flight to Cape Town. You will arrive at the Cape Town Airport at 6:30 pm where you will be picked up and transferred to the Bay Hotel in Camps Bay, just in time for a sundowner as you watch the sun disappear below the Atlantic Ocean.

Day 12: Cape Peninsula and the City

Start the morning early with climb up Lion’s Head or a cable car to the top of table mountain to view the majestic sight of Cape Town in all its glory (Note: this is dependent on weather conditions). Afterwards, you will go on a tour of the 16th century Castle of Good Hope, the Company Gardens, Greenmarket Square and the V & H Waterfront. After lunch you will then go for a drive around the Cape Peninsula, starting first at Camps Bay and winding your way down to Hout Bay .  (Here you can enjoy an optional extra 30-minute boat cruise to view the Cape Fur Seal colony on Duiker Island.) From Hout Bay, you will be taken along the wildly scenic Chapmans Peak Drive as it hugs the cliff face looking over the Atlantic Ocean on one of the world’s most spectacular mountain pass. (Weather dependant). You will then continue south to the Cape of Good Hope National Park to Blouders Beach where you can view the Penguins and explore the old naval base town of Simon’s. As the late afternoon approaches, you will make you way back to Cape Town where you will stop in Constantia Valley for your first wine and cheese tasting at the world renowned Buitenverwachting Wine Estate. As the sun starts to set, you will be transported back to your hotel for sundowners and dinner.

Day 13: Cape Wineland

You begin your tour in the morning driving to the Cape Winelands where you will learn about the rich historical and architectural traditions of the region. You will first visit Stellenbosch for your first tastings and then you will go to Franschhoek for more tastings and lunch. Lunch will be at one of the spectacular award-winning are restaurants in the town and you will get time to look at all the galleries in the town. After lunch you will go to Paarl and Wellington for some more wine tasting to end off the day. You will return to Cape Town in the late afternoon.

Day 14: Your Day to Explore

Your last day in Cape Town is a spare day in case you need to fit in weather-dependent activities. If not, it’s a time to relax or explore more in terms of your own personal interests. Take a go-as-you-please Red Bus tour, which will take as long as you want, paraglide off Signal hill, abseil down Table Mountain, relax on a beach or just go shopping until you drop. It’s up to you.
