Start your journey with four days in upmarket Cape Town, enjoying the view of the Atlantic Ocean and Table Mountain. Drive around the Cape Peninsula, explore the peaks of Table Mountain, relax at the beaches of Clifton, Camps Bay and Lundalo or shop and eat at the city’s prized restaurants, bars and designer stores. Allow yourself to be captured and mesmerized by the beauty and magic of the city. Then enjoy a whole day sipping and tasting wine in the beautiful Cape Winelands, wandering through infamous wine estates..

Once in Kruger National Park you will be driven within the Kruger National Park where you will adventure game drive at your private lodge for some sundowners and rest. For the next two days, you will spend countless moments watching feasting lions, hunting leopards, jubilant elephants, grazing buffalo and rhino as you observe their behavior in their natural habitat.

From the wilderness of the Kruger National Park you will then fly over to Victoria Falls for the last of your days to soak up the wonder of this majestic Seventh Wonder, relax and sip on sundowners as you watch the sunset on the gracious Zambezi.

Day 1: Cape Town greetings

 

Welcome to South Africa.  You are met by a representative and transferred by road from Cape Town to your gracious hotel, the Bay Hotel, where you can relax after your flight. Cradled by Table Mountain and the Atlantic Ocean, Cape Town has immense charm and historical interest with its unique cultural blend of African, European and Asian heritage. From your hotel, you are within walking distance of many eateries, pubs and beaches. You may relax at the hotel’s pool for the rest of the day, explore Camps Bay or relax at one of the Blue Flag beaches while sipping on a sundowner as the sun disappears below the Atlantic Ocean.

Day 2: Cape Peninsula and the City

 

Start the morning early with a climb up Lion’s Head or a cable car to the top of table mountain to view the majestic sight of Cape Town in all its glory (Note: this is dependent on weather conditions). Afterward, you will go on a tour of the 16th century Castle of Good Hope, the Company Gardens, Greenmarket Square and the V & H Waterfront. After lunch you will then go for a drive around the Cape Peninsula, starting first at Camps Bay and winding your way down to Hout Bay.  (Here you can enjoy an optional extra 30-minute boat cruise to view the Cape Fur Seal colony on Duiker Island.) From Hout Bay, you will be taken along the wildly scenic Chapmans Peak Drive as it hugs the cliff face looking over the Atlantic Ocean on one of the world’s most spectacular mountain pass.

Cape of Good Hope National Park-Boulders Beach-Penguins(Weather dependant). You will then continue south to the Cape of Good Hope National Park to Boulders Beach where you can view the Penguins and explore the old naval base town of Simon’s. As the late afternoon approaches, you will make you way back to Cape Town where you will stop in Constantia Valley for your first wine and cheese tasting at the world-renowned Buitenverwachting Wine Estate. As the sun starts to set, you will be transported back to your hotel for sundowners and dinner.

Day 3: Cape Winelands

 

You begin your tour in the morning driving to the Cape Winelands where you will learn about the rich historical and architectural traditions of the region. You will first visit Stellenbosch for your first tastings and then you will go to Franschhoek for more tastings and lunch. Lunch will be at one of the spectacular award-winning are restaurants in the town and you will get time to look at all the galleries in the town. After lunch you will go to Paarl and Wellington for some more wine tasting to end off the day. You will return to Cape Town in the late afternoon.

Day 4: Your Day to Explore

Your last day in Cape Town is a spare day in case you need to fit in weather-dependent activities. If not, it’s a time to relax or explore more in terms of your own personal interests. Take a go-as-you-please Red Bus tour, which will take as long as you want, paraglide off Signal hill, abseil down Table Mountain, relax on a beach or just go shopping until you drop. It’s up to you.

Day 5-7: Blue Train Experience

 

In the morning you will be transferred from your hotel to Cape Town train station where you will board the luxurious Blue Train at Cape Town station for your trip to. During your two night trip, you’ll stop at the Victorian village of Matjiesfontein in the Karoo for an off-the-train excursion and visit Kimberley where you will go a tour of the world’s biggest diamond mine and the historical land sights of the old city. During your time on the train, you will be able to sit back in comfort and watch the South African scenery glide past your window while dining and wining on Africa’s 5-star mobile jewel of a hotel.

Day 7: Blyde River Canyon

 

 

We pick you up from the train station and drive you through the Mpumalanga Highlands and onto the breathtaking viewpoints over the Blyde River Canyon & Bourkes Luck Potholes where you will stay at a mountain lodge for the night overlooking the canyon.

Day 8: Hot Air Balloon and Sunset Game Drive

 

Early in the morning, you take a Hot Air Balloon ride over the canyon, the game reserves, and farms. After the balloon ride you have breakfast and then head to Timbavati Game Reserve in the Kruger National Park where the white lions roam.

By lunch, you will arrive at your hotel at the Motswari Safari Lodge where you will relax for the rest of the afternoon before going on a game drive in the late afternoon as the sun goes down and the wildlife is active.Laurelee-Baloon-Safari

Day 9: African Safari

 

 

In the morning you will head out for a walk with an experienced and armed game ranger who take you on a hike through the savannah to view the big 5 up close and personal. You will then head back to the hotel for lunch where you can relax for the remainder of the day taking in the scenery of the lodge. After supper, you will be taken on a night drive to experience the African wild in the shadows of the night.

Day 10: Victoria Falls

 

 

Before you jet off to Zimbabwe, you take your last game drive in the morning. At about 9 am you are transferred to the Kruger Nelspruit airport whether you board your plane for Livingstone. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to the Ilala Lodge where you check in for (2) nights on a bed and breakfast basis. For the afternoon you will be taken on a river cruise where you sip sundowners as the African sun sets behind the banks of the mighty Zambezi.

Day 11: Victoria Falls

 

 

In the morning you will be collected at your hotel and taken on a guided tour of the Victoria Falls, followed by a visit to a working African Village known as Monde Village. Apart from the Falls, there are also many activities to enjoy in this area, for those with a sense of adventure, or for those who want to enjoy the local culture! A helicopter flight or microlight flight over the falls provides a bird’s eye view – and although only 13-minutes long – it is well worth the photographic opportunity.

Day 12: End of South Africa Luxury Safari

 

We say goodbye and transfer you to the Livingston airport where you get a flight to Johannesburg and then a flight back home leave for Johannesburg.
