Tanzania was formerly known to the world as Tanganyika before it became an independent state (from the United Kingdom) in 1961. The merger of Tanganyika and Zanzibar in 1964 called for a new name thus Tanzania was born.


While Kiswahili is the official language of Tanzania, the country consists of an estimated 125 ethnic groups, including Chagga, Maasai and Sukuma. About a third of country practices Islam, another third practices Christianity and the last third practices their own indigenous beliefs. How is it possible that a people with such a diverse linguistic, cultural and religious backgrounds can live relatively peacefully among each other? This is one of the most beautiful puzzles of Tanzania and one many people continue to try to answer. What will you discover during your stay here?


A Brief Overview of Your 7 Day Tanzania Safari 


Set out on foot to experience the wild wonders of Tanzania from the unique perspective of the people who call it home. Day 1 — Arusha-Est. Driving Time 1 hrs drive

Upon arrive at Kilimanjaro International airport (JRO) you will meet your El Mundo Safari Driver guide who will drive you to Arusha for overnight.

Dinner, rest & overnight stay at Kibo Palace (Bed and Breakfast)

Day 2 — Tarangire National ParkEst. Driving Time 1.5-2hrs Drive 

Drive from Arusha and arrive at Tarangire National Park at approximately 10am to 11am, and you can start your late morning game drive inside the park. Here you will have the opportunity to see the most magnificent herds of African elephants against the backdrop of a beautiful savannah environment of majestic baobab trees, which are beautifully bare in the dry season, and lush green in the wet season. Tarangire’s spectacular natural beauty and diversity is supported by the Tarangire River, which provides water throughout the year.

Enjoy packed lunchbox at Private Picnic Site, before continuing with afternoon game drive.

Day 3 — Ngorongoro Crater  Est. Driving Time 2-2.45 hrs Drive

After breakfast drive Upon entering the Crater, you will be in awe of the world’s largest unbroken caldera. The Crater is a home to a variety of animals that share the vast space of the caldera. Spend a day in Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a habitat rich in culture and teeming with wildlife. Sometimes there are more than 30,000 animals in and around the crater, including black rhino, cheetah, lion, hyena, eland, and numerous antelope. This space is also shared with Maasai and their cattle people hence it name ‘The Garden of Eden

Ascend the crater, short drive 45 minutes to your lodge accommodation; Sopa Lodge

Day 4 — Serengeti National Park Est. Driving Time 2-3 hrs Drive

After breakfast, start driving to Central Serengeti. The Serengeti, Tanzania’s second largest national park, covers nearly 6,000 square miles of grassland plains, savannah, kopjes, hills, woodlands, and riverine forests. This is the day for you to explore the famous “endless plains”, Central Circuit, with an impressive variety of the exquisite Big Cats that roam about in the area, notably lions, cheetahs and leopards. This is also where the migration takes place all year round, and a chance to be amidst 2.5 million wildebeest and uncountable herds of zebras and gazelles.

‘Serengeti Osupuko Tented Camp, In the central of Serengeti, the mobile luxury camp is scenically located on the slopes of Rongai Hills where sun-rise is your daily wake-up call and beautiful sun-set will always alert you to go to the camp fire or sundowner. The camp is overlooking the Seronera Valley which is home to most of the cats found in Serengeti. Also there are plenty of other resident wild animals around the area and to mention a few are; giraffes, zebras, gazelles, warthogs, baboons, monkeys and many more.’

Day 5 — Serengeti National Park      No Transit

After relaxing break fast, morning game drive (depend on the season of year, ideal will be overnight near the wildebeest migration). Do you want to customize your safari to see particular part of migration, see our Serengeti Migration package.

In the mid day you have option to drive back to the camp for hot lunch before continue with game drive in the afternoon.

Day 6 — Serengeti National Park No Transit 

After relaxing break fast, morning game drive (depend on the season of year, ideal will be overnight near the wildebeest migration).

In the mid day you have option to drive back to the camp for hot lunch before continue with game drive in the afternoon.

Day 7 — Arusha 5 -6 hr Drive (45-1 hr Flight) 

After relaxing breakfast, short game drive enroute to park entrance. After picking lunch drive back to Arusha via Ngorongoro highlands.

Depend to you flight schedule, KLM connecting via Amsterdam fly 8pm from JRO this might be option.
